Sections in Estate123

Section 1: Property Details
This section shows the information for a property posting. The main header is actually the name of a property; follow by weather the property is for Sell or for Rent. The information of Sell or Rent will be displayed based on the action that you select (Rent or Sell or both). When you select “Sell”, the label “Sell” will be displayed in the property title when visitor views your property posting. So, you do not need to write your own title such as “Metropolitan Square for Sell”.

Section 1

Next are the City/Area/Location and also the State. Please make sure that the City/Area/Location is written based on the exact location where the property is located. For example, Damansara Perdana or Mon’t Kiara. Do not put as 2 locations for example Damansara Perdana, Petaling Jaya. This is because based on the specified City/Area/Location provided; your posting will be displayed in the Related Property section (See Section 8 ) if a user is viewing other property that is located in the same City/Area/Location that you specified. For example, if a user is viewing a property in Damansara Perdana, your posting might appear in the Related Property section if you put the City/Area/Location as Damansara Perdana. If you put Damansara Perdana, Kuala Lumpur, your posting will not be displayed in the Related Property section.

Other information is mainly information for the visitors to know more about the property that you posted.

Tips: For the City/Area/Location, make sure you select from a dropdown list that will appear as you type in the text box. The suggested selection actually comes from the property posting from other members. So, if you select from the selection, your posting might appear in the “Related property” section if a visitor views their property posting.

Property Review Feeds

RSS Feeds

For those that are not really familiar with article/news feeds which also known as RSS (Really Simple Syndication), we are going to share with you some information about this today because at Estate123.com, the property review is also available in RSS. You might hear people call it News Feed and some calling it RSS, it is just the same.

Based on the explanation in wikipedia.com, “RSS (most commonly translated as “Really Simple Syndication”) is a family of web feed formats used to publish frequently updated works—such as blog entries, news headlines, audio, and video—in a standardized format. An RSS document (which is called a “feed”, “web feed”, or “channel”) includes full or summarized text, plus metadata such as publishing dates and authorship.

RSS solves a problem especially if you regularly use the web. It allows you to easily stay informed by retrieving the latest content from the sites you are interested in. You save time by not needing to visit each site individually.

In estate123.com, if you notice on the left menu, we have a section called “estate123.RSS”. This is where we share 2 feeds with you; Commercial Property Review and Residential Propery Review. You should visit this page to get the feeds that is available. Previously, we already share 2 posts with you in our blog on how you can use the RSS that we have; 1. RSS on Commercial & Residential Property Review (on My Yahoo) and 2. RSS on Commercial & Residential Property Review (on iGoogle)
